Ce matin, j'étais bloqué un moment derrière un camion à ordures qui terminait sa tournée du matin.
Planté là quelques instants, j'ai vu progressivement les rues se remplir de poubelles, innondant lentement ma voiture. L'air se raréfia, dernières émissions irrespirables, un signe que je n'étais plus en odeur de sainteté. Le monde s'arrêtait-il de tourner ? De la suffocation, surgit le délire, énergie du désespoir, qui m'amena à fredonner :

Vous aurez sans doute reconnu la fabuleuse composition de Thom Bell & Linda Creed, "People make the world go round", un vrai moment de Philly Sound, paru sur le 1er album éponyme des Stylistics en 1971. Une chanson parfaite, où les mots scandés au travers de respirations laissent l'auditeur méditatif sur ces gens qui font tourner le monde.
